The Sacraments
The Eucharist
The Catholic Church teaches that the Eucharist is the ‘source and summit of the Christian life,’ where bread and wine truly become the body, blood, soul, and divinity of Jesus Christ through transubstantiation.
It is a real sacrifice re-presenting Christ's death and resurrection, not just a symbol, and it offers spiritual nourishment, communion with God, and the pledge of eternal life.
